OFF THE RAILS offers carefree cycling holidays on the Otago Central Rail Trail near Queenstown. You concentrate on turning the pedals, while we concentrate on everything else, providing you with bikes, transfers, heritage accommodation and sightseeing options. With us as your support crew, this eco-friendly New Zealand bicycle tour is a fun and achievable adventure for the whole family.
OFF THE RAILS offers fully-supported cycling holidays on the 150km Rail Trail from September to May each year.
Standard tour:
- 4 days / 3 nights - A leisurely bicycle tour, allowing time for sightseeing options.
Rate: $1275 per adult, $955 per child (under 12 yrs).
Customised itineraries for groups of six or more people:
- 3 days / 2 nights - A speedier cycling package for those whose time is more limited.
Rate: $1190 per adult, $895 per child (under 12 yrs).

- 5 days / 4 nights - A great opportunity to extend your Central Otago holiday with a 4WD wine safari or some hill-country mountain biking or a day's golf... let us know what takes your fancy.
Rate: from $1560+ per adult, dependent on itinerary
All OFF THE RAILS cycle tour packages include:
- Pick up in Queenstown* and transfer to the start of the Rail Trail in Clyde.
- Front-suspension mountain bike, helmet and waterproof panniers.
- Comfortable accommodation in Off The Rails' heritage properties in Ranfurly, art deco centre of the Rail Trail.
- Personalised transport to and from the Rail Trail each day.
- Transfer and care of all luggage during your Off The Rails' biking adventure.

*There is an option to be picked up and dropped off in Clyde or Cromwell. You can also choose to travel on to Dunedin from the Middlemarch end of the Trail via the Taieri Gorge Scenic Railway.
